Recycling Challenge: Glass Recovered by Me

““Recycling Challenge: Glass Recovered by Me” was a promotional campaign organised by the Environment Protection Department (“EPD”) from May 2014 to December 2015. The campaign aims to raise the environmental awareness of the residents in the participating housing estates and encourage them to participate in glass bottle recycling more actively as well as promoting the “Clean Recycling” practice.

Campaign Details and Results

Some two hundred housing estates joining EPD’s glass bottle recycling programmes participated in the campaign. Thirty four housing estates, which are listed below, were awarded with Certificate of Merit to recognise their outstanding performance in glass bottle recycling. The campaign has successfully aroused the environmental awareness among the residents of the participating housing estates and continuous improvement in recycling performance over the period was observed.
